The goal

MyBusMate, a child safety app and real-time school bus tracking solution, was conducting trials with a couple of Singapore schools and was planning an event to officially launch the app. MyBusMate wanted to secure more leads from media exposure.

Our plan

Mutant started to spread the word in March 2014, and our team partnered with MyBusMate to develop marketing content for their website and collateral, crafted press materials and pitched media interviews. For the launch event, we drew up a targeted event invitation list and conducted subsequent outreach that resulted in a great turnout and a successful event.

The outcome

Mutant secured MyBusMate coverage in Singapore’s top newspapers, including The Straits Times and TODAY, and major tech news sites e27, Computerworld Singapore and more. The startup received several leads on the back of media coverage, including interest from A*STAR and a number of local schools to implement the app across close to 10 campuses.

More than introducing MyBusMate’s functions and benefits to parents, schools and school bus operators, Mutant laid the foundation to establish the startup as a reliable, innovative app that helps ensure safe commutes for children and streamlined school bus management processes.
